As usual, this week I continued with a keto diet, intermittent fasting for 5 out of the 7 days, and walked 29.1 miles this week. I fell just short of the 30 miles I have committed to do each week. As you know last week was the first week, I did not lose any weight, and I wanted to talk just a little about that. I am a member of a few different keto groups, which helps me learn about what others are going through on their journey as well. At first, I read about others and wondered why they were losing 10 pounds a week, and I was averaging 5 pounds a week. Then I started to notice that many were having limited or no weight loss. The point is, that everyone’s body is going to go through its journey a little differently. I think enough people have had success with keto to know that it works. The advice I usually see most often is, “Trust the process it works, and as long as you keep at it you will see the results you are looking for.
This week I stepped on the scale about Wednesday and saw 245, and on Saturday I was 252. My official weigh in day for weekly results is Monday, and I was at 247. Even though I was walking regularly, eating less than 1200 calories, and doing the same things all week, you can see my weight roller coastered throughout the week. My advice is to not weigh yourself every day, maybe twice a week max. Do not get hung up on what the scale says. Even if I was not losing any weight, I know my body is gaining health benefits from everything that I am doing. I am feeling better and stronger all the time, and can continue to do a little more each day. Remember I or we did not gain all the weight we want to lose in a short time, and we cannot expect it to come off in a short amount of time. Like everyone says, trust the process it works.

I should be well on my way to my 50 pounds weight loss goal of 50 pounds by my Birthday in June. Now I’m wondering if I can reach 60 pounds of loss by my birthday.
