Just a thought

Maybe this isn’t the place for this, and none of what I am about to say is keto related. I suppose it could be considered a healthy lifestyle though. I have a tiny platform, and I’m going to put it out there and see what happens.

Tonight, after work I watched one of the late shows and followed it up with some news. Yet more stories of people doing harm to one another and making life more difficult for others. I do not want to be specific because we already hear enough of it. Life is difficult enough already. We do not need help maiking life more difficult.

How did we all become so divided anyway? It seems to me that most of us are all pretty much the same. I am not going to look up all the specifics and I am not an expert on anything, but I have been experiencing life for over 40 years, and I think we are all have a lot more in common than you know. We want to be able to enjoy life, we care for our friends and family, and we all lose friends and family. I feel like we are all just trying to get by with as little struggle and strife as possible. We all have good days and bad days, and at any given time anyone of us could be experiencing one or the other.

I would guess that 98 percent of the people in this country and maybe the world earn between $20,000.00 – $150,000.00 a year. Like I said, do not take those numbers as fact, I did not look it up. You would think that people that make a lot more money are automatically doing better. Usually as people make more money, their cost of living goes up as well. I am not trying to say that making $20,000 and & $150,000 a year is the same kind of life. No matter where we are on that scale, none of us have climbed so high we can not fall on hard times or end up in difficult circumstances. Life does not care about your age, beliefs, color, ethnicity, location, politics, sex, status, or anything else. There is not anything any of us can do about most of those things anyway. Nobody gets to choose who, what, when, and where we are born. I think we just try to do the best we can, with the circumstances we are dealt.

Please lets all try to be a little more kind to one another, it does not have to cost you a thing. Grab a door handle and hold it open for the next person. If you see someone drop a bag of groceries, offer to help pick them up. Give somebody a smile and a nod, or wave. If you are lucky enough to experience and act of kindness from a stranger, please say thank you. Could it make everyone’s life easier if we are just kind to one another? I do not know, but I would like to find out.

Just beginning my keto journey. My goal is to lose 50 pounds and improve my overall health. I'm also hoping to build an audience I can interact with and learn from.

    1. Thanks, was close to pulling this article, not sure it was coming across as I intended. I’m not exactly a writer, just kinda thinking out loud.

    1. Not sure about that, just tired of all the negative news lately, as probably many others are. If we want the world to change, we will have to make it happen. No one is going to do it for us.
