Hello everyone, I finally took the time or got up the courage to post a current picture of myself. This picture was taken on 2/25/21 which is day 32 of my keto journey. My weight in the picture is 261 pounds, I began my journey on January 25, 2021 at 285 pounds. I have a way to go yet, but feel I am off to a great start. I set an initial goal to lose 50 pounds by my birthday in June. I am well on track down 24 pounds in 32 days, but I know the first pounds to come off are the easiest. If you are following along and not having equal results, I probably have an advantage. Due to my health issues, I was sedentary over the last year or so. In my opinion, I think any activity I do initially will have a bigger impact than most but expect it to level off soon. The weather has finally broken here in Indy, so my training partner Zoey and I have been getting our steps in. Since I was so inactive, she has put on a little weight too (4 pounds according to the vet).
I began my journey by kicking my pop, sugar and fast food habits right away. I did break down and have about 4 ounces of a pop in week 2, but other than that I was pretty good. I found some keto recipes online I thought I would enjoy and started making them. I did not count any calories or track macros, I just ate keto meals. I also began walking for exercise, just a mile or so to start and increased some as I progressed.
